Our stay was ruined by people in the adjoining room who were up until past 4:30am, yelling, banging whatever and generally making noise which kept myself and my wife awake. We called down to the front desk at 4am who in turn called the room, but this did not end the noise. One half hour later I had to call the front desk again.
I advised the front desk when checking out and enquired if they had onsite security, which they did not. Having no security staff at a large, quality, downtown property is a mistake at a prestigious hotel chain. The hit to reputation far outweighs the cost of security.
Had our sleep not be ruined, we would have given the hotel 4 or 5 stars. Someone walking the halls, would have heard the noise.
