The rooms at this location are extremely small and so are the beds. Also, there was no front desk service however, there is a bar located at the entrance where you get your room key but it was rarely manned.We called down to the front multiple times and got no response. I also went down to get extra blankets because the beds were only dressed with sheets to once again find no one available. The hotel is clean and the location is great but the price doesn’t match the service.

This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at, ESPECIALLY for the price paid and location. Where do I even start… They were out of the free cocktail they offer for their one free drink per stay, and it wasn’t even 30 minutes past 5pm (when reception starts) nor was it busy. The toilet in our room clogged if you used more than 8 squares of toilet paper per flush. It clogged twice on us for very basic/light usage. We are very aware of how much paper is reasonable for a toilet, and this toilet wasn’t capable of even one regular handful of paper. Lame. Also the bathroom walls are glass so enjoy watching your friend/partner/coworker sit on the toilet from the comfort of the bed. We requested an extra pillow one night (because you know how hotel pillows are notoriously thin) and it took 4 calls, a trip downstairs wading through club people, and 40 minutes to get a single pillow. The place apparently has a club on the rooftop and a bar with a lot of space on the ground floor, which is fine, but produces a LOT of noise late into the night. I ran to the lobby bathrooms the next morning (Sunday morning at 9am) before heading out for the day and it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever encountered. Feces smeared in stalls, a used condom on the floor, trash in the sinks… worse than any gas station bathroom I’ve ever walked into. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING Y’ALL. This “hotel” very obviously doesn’t care about its lodgers and focuses on its club aspect, and we’ll never return.

This was my second stay at a Moxy propery. Hotel and staff were great and accommodating. Rooftop bar was amazing. Just one issue I faced was the elevator. Out of 2 only 1 was working. With a rooftop bar, having only 1 elevator working there was a long wait time to use the elevator. Minor set back, definitely not a deal breaker. The location of the hotel, amenities , easy of getting there - definitely recommended.

The hotel is very unique and pretty! Love the fact that they have a rooftop bar cause it was a perfect way to end the night right above my room. I was able to check in 2 hours early as well. Will definitely be staying here again when I come back to DC.

I stayed at another property in Sydney and enjoyed it, so stayed one night while in DC. Bar and downstairs area are nice. Room is basic, small, not 100% clean, no main light in the room, and woke up to construction noise. Otherwise, it was a good stay for one night, very close to convention center.

Love the Moxy always. Drink coin nice touch. Dj charging a cover at rooftop bar should allow hotel guests- only there for a drink and the view, to go in with room key or whatever.

The room itself was reasonably comfortable and the hotel is well situated. However, the staff couldn't find my reservation immediately when I checked in, and it took a phone call to a manager and 15 minutes of reentering my reservation to get my key. After a long flight from Asia, this is not exactly helpful. For most of the week, the hotel was fairly quiet, but they hosted a party or event on Thursday night. I couldn't even get a hold of staff to ask how late the event was planned, but could hear the music loud and clear from my room. Since I was there for business and didn't want to deal with not sleeping well, I left a day early. In short, unless you want a hip hostel type of environment, I don't recommend staying here.

So cute I’d go back if I stay in DC again. I wish they had more games in the lobby and some of them were missing pieces. Moxy bar was out of a lot of ingredients. Rooftop bar is SUPER small and it was packed but it was winter so I’m sure it’s better in the summer when you can go outside. Other than that no complaints perfect for couples.

Originally prepaid/booked the junior suite for one evening. After checking in, and seeing our room, we were not given our junior suite. We addressed the front desk and the clerk claimed the junior suite was overbooked and gave us the next best option. We understood the mixup and requested to be properly reimbursed due to the step down of rooms. The clerk said he was “going to look into it”. When we checked out, we followed up to make sure we were properly reimbursed/charged appropriately for the room change. This clerk claimed that Expedia was in the wrong and that the junior suite was never available. In fact, we were “paying the correct price” for the room we got. It was a confusing and mismanaged situation. The hotel is nice and in a great area, however the staff customer service and managing the rooms is poor.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming at check in. They got us into our room ahead of check in time and the room was nice and clean. The sheets and blankets were scratchy as heck and the bed was painfully firm. It was cold. Shower was great. Common areas were fun and relaxed. Games were available which was fun. Very loud party space on the deck so not somewhere to be if you mind that sort of thing, Easy walking to all the good stuff around town. Just 10 minute ride to the airport. ubers everywhere.
