If you have stayed at Viceroy’s, you know they are a league above. This does not even begin to meet expectations. The best features are the decor- it’s nice, but that’s easy to come by in DC. The low points for us were the small, slow elevators that people actually cue up in long lines to get into, often riding w housekeeping staff. The dining options are awful- for breakfast, you once again cue up in line at the coffee shop, get a ticket, sit duen and wait for a meal delivery- much like you would at a kids party at a shopping mall. Location is ok- in the middle of a city block. The worst part was dealing w the front desk. Rooms not ready, no solutions to helping us get ready for a graduation, no concierge. Oh, and absolutely no venting system in the bathrooms. We stayed in a huge suite and it filled up w steam from the shower- no vents in either bathroom. This is a 3-star hotel at best. I absolutely do not recommend it. There is a sea of choices in DC. Eliminate this option as you will be disappointed.
