“I booked this trip for my boyfriend who is obsessed with trains. This was a great surprise for him and came at the perfect time after a stressful weekend. It was such a great get away and a good reset before jumping back to reality. There were some concerning areas with hair left in the shower, a brown sludge/ residue in the hot tub, and overall dirt/ dust build up in the caboose. We definitely will be back!”

“This place was perfect for a week away from the city. We came here to get some peace and quiet and work remote. This place definitely fulfilled that. The wifi worked great, no work interuptions and access to the backyard to get some sun and view of the river couldn't be beat. The hot tub was the perfect place to relax after work and Gabby was super responsive with whatever issues/questions we had. Note that the lower bedroom has a queen-size bed, not king as listed in the description. We did some hiking at the Yellow River State Forest and Effigy Mounds National Monument. McGregor and Marquette are two nearby river towns that are also nice to visit.”

There were stains on the floor from spills and marks/crumbs on end tables from previous guests having drinks/food. It’s nice that pets are allowed but with that comes additional cleaning that was missed. Pet hair on furniture and a spot by one of the doors that appeared to be from a pet having an accident. “The property was in walking distance to a couple nice bars and restaranuts and pizza places. Sitting area in back of motel with fire pits to look over the water. Also the property has a bar and grill attached which was awesome. Noise does not travel into the hotel. The free breakfast had a very large selection of items from hot food to your cold cereal, fruit, muffins, etc... great all around. Oh and the rooms were oh so clean and comfy.”
