Union Co Weikert PA - Seven Mountain View

This cabin has a lot to offer for a group of friends or a family! Lots of things to do in in the surrounding areas.
Come enjoy our cozy cabin on 11 private acres with nearby private access with parking to Penns Creek, a world-renowned trout and smallmouth stream. The cabin is very private, which is ideal for long, peaceful, walks and bike rides. You can appreciate stunning sunset views of the surrounding mountains. Relax while taking in the views and sounds of the beautiful Penns Creek. You may see a bald eagle, herons, ducks, geese, deer, bear and all the little pa creatures as well. Expect all forms of wildlife. If you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of the otters and mink that travel through the area. There is a generous yard perfect for kids and pets. Private fire pits in the back yard and by the creek. Private access to the creek for fishing, launching kayaks/canoes, playing in the water, or just relaxing. Fish and kayak to your heart's content, or take your ATVs and dirt bikes to the miles of trails that are nearby.
You will have complete access to the entire house. The barn and workshops will be locked.

Rustic and Private home on 11 acres. 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that sleeps 7. Come and enjoy the outdoors. Fully furnished home great for entertaining family or friends. 2 porches, 5 wooded acres, firepits and 5 mowed acres you choose how to enjoy the property. Firewood provided.

Beautiful location
The property is in a beautiful location. It's so peaceful and quiet there with amazing starry nights. The property itself needs a deep cleaning. The windows are very dirty, the outdoor decorative lighting around the firepit didn't work and one of the two vanity light bulbs was out. Definitely a mouse problem as we found fresh mouse poop on the kitchen counters. I emailed the owner after we left to make her aware of these problems and got no response back from her. A simple apology would of been appreciated.

Loved it so much we booked again
Thank you for the wonderful stay. It’s not easy finding a great, reasonable place for a family of 5 + dog while traveling through PA on I-80. WAY better than a hotel, which are full of people and have serious pet fees. Well-stocked, had everything we needed and more. Booked again and staying longer to relax and check out the area.

we had a great time with this place, very private and views were amazing, the cabin had such a homey feel, the kids loved playing on the tire swing. you are in the middle of no where with very little cell service, which was awesome to disconnect , we would definitely stay here again and most likely will travel here just for the cabin

Beautiful cabin and location
The picture of this property do not do it justice. Our family of 4 really enjoyed our short stay at the cabin. The cabin was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The grounds surrounding the cabin were beautifully kept and maintained. We enjoyed countless hours sitting outside admiring the views or sitting by a fire. Check-in and put process was super easy and the property manager was instantly responsive. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Long weekend getaway
Quintessential cabin in the woods. Absolutely stunning views of the seven mountains. The abundance of firewood made for perfect bonfires every night of our stay. The overview for this property on expedia.com is a bit misleading. It describes features available at Rough Cut Lodge in Gaines where we have also spent an amazing weekend. The overview mentions private access to the creek and fire pits in the backyard and at the creek which is an amazing feature at Rough Cut. I am sure this is merely an oversight but we wanted to make you aware. Our stay was absolutely relaxing and being surrounded by the beauty of nature was well worth it!

Amazing
The pictures, as good as they are, don’t even do justice to how beautiful the property was! It is all so well kept and the views are unbelievable, and there are so many great places to just enjoy the views and nature. The cabin worked for seven of us (as others said, it was a bit tight with this many, but everything was clean and as advertised). But with such beautiful outdoor spaces, we didn’t spend much time indoors anyways! The closest stores to shop are like a 50-minute round trip, so just come with everything you need (though there is a dollar general for essentials closer).

Wonderful property just off the main road between Weikert and the best catch-and-release wild trout fishing spots on lower Penns. Great views, a cozy cabin and pelenty of open space to enjoy the incredible views and quiet. Will be back!

It's all about the view...
My wife and I wanted a quiet place to stay in the mountains with some open land, near the woods, with great views. We couldn't of been happier with our selection when we arrived. Incredible views of the mountains surround you. Plenty of open space for walks, and the open skies at night to see the stars is perfect. The cabin is well cared for offering a warming fireplace, plenty of room, and all comforts of home. We would sit outside by the fire pit and just take in the beauty around us. We didn't want to leave....that's how nice it is.

Great place to stay
It was just my dog and I and we had a nice extended weekend here. It’s very private and very quiet. The 11 acres all to yourself and great solitude, this is a great place if you’re looking to get into the country. I would recommend bring your own sheets and bath towels. There is a Dollar General 15 mins away if you forget. And I question how this place would comfortably sleep 7? One bedroom is one bunk bed set and the other is a single bed that my 6’3” frame was too tall for, wouldn’t have been comfortable for me with a partner. It worked for just me though and I’d definitely rent again.

Beautiful property and a cozy cabin. Our kids had a great time sledding and exploring the woods and the cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. We were also super impressed with Jen's responsiveness. We texted her Sunday morning because the snow blocked the road overnight and she had a snow plow there within an hour!

Hidden Treasure
The land and view is breathtaking! There is 11 acres of peace with a stream right behind the cabin. The cabin was very well decorated and clean! There is only two bedrooms in it but it was perfect for my two kids and my husband and I. Michelle, was very responsive and helped us with everything we needed. I will definately recommend this place to all families to go visit and planning on our second trip back!

Nice place if you don't deal with management
This is a nice place but we had a disappointing experience with management -- writing this as a caution. The house was nicely decorated over the holidays and had everything we needed. Only problem with the actual house was that we couldn't shower because the water didn't drain at all. I assume they fixed this though. The main issue was that they had a misleading reservation page, which did not say that there were pet fees and had different check-in/check-out times. They later added steep pet fees. I disagreed with them since it is wrong to add charges that are not stated when a customer books. If I knew their ACTUAL policies and fees, I simply would not have booked. But management just dug in, refusing to admit they had made a mistake. It is a basic, fair business practice to tell a customer how much something will cost prior to booking. They have since updated their page to include these fees and fix their mistake. Unfortunately, this experience turned an otherwise nice stay into a frustrating ordeal. Be careful with any additional hidden charges, like extra fees if you'd like towels and bed sheets provided... If you decide to stay here you'll enjoy it...as long as you don't have to deal with property managers and extra fees!
