Our stay was marred by our poor check-in experience with the duty manager, who, after apologising for keeping us waiting to check-in, then proceeded to answer a telephone call and keep us waiting for a further five minutes. His manner was also somewhat perfunctory, rather than friendly. We had a good-sized room, but the bathroom was a little tired, especially the plastic shower unit. We were also surprised to find that we were charged extra for our espresso coffees at breakfast.
