“Liked everything.
So peaceful quiet an cool away from the noise an hot sun.
The owner was great friendly, welcoming an very helpful.
A oasis in the city i would describe it.
Home from home.
Would recommend it to anybody to stay. ”
“Lovely hostess. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed and a beautiful house. We had a room with a view of the harbour. The rooms are air conditioned which is essential in Durban in December. ”
“It’s what I expected of Town Lodge really. The accommodation is all good. But the dining experience was pretty poor. The buffet didn’t have the variety one expects of a buffet.”
“Our best stay in South Africa by far.
We stayed for 6 days. So sad to leave.
Sandy looked after us and nothing was too much trouble.
Our spacious room opened onto a terrace overlooking a beautiful pool and garden area.
A great breakfast. Staff were excellent always smiling, in a great leafy quiet residential area and only a 5 minute walk to many shops and restaurants.
We will be back when we return to South Africa ”
“At the point waterfront apartment I enjoyed my stay as well as their views, the cleaning team cleaned thoroughly though they came late most the time(afternoon). They have friendly staff. They had safety measure for their guest whereby after 5 no one is allowed to come in nor come out , what I did not like though was the pool it was not cleaned often it was dirty. It's a convenient place as shops are close by”
“An absolutely charming place with charming hosts. Traveling as a single woman it was very safe and convenient. Coming and going is hassle-free.
The internet and televison reception are excellent. Water in the shower nice and hot and the bed big and comfortable.
Couldn't ask for more.”
“Handy and nice hotel for Durban. Location not on the beach but good enough. There is 24 hours security and secure car park.
The breakfast and restaurant is very good.
This round my room is facing the road, can be a bit noisy compare to inward facing room.”
“A small, intimate and immaculate establishment - like your own little villa! Not only was the breakfast (hot and cold) awesome, but it was the extra little touches that made an impression. For example: Although there was no restaurant for lunch & dinner, picnic tables, a microwave, plates, utensils and condiments were provided for guests' "bring-their-own-meal" use, little cookies daily with the in-room tea/coffee facilities, an honesty bar area, with an ice-maker, I could go on! The guest……
“The Flamingo Lodge was great! Just a few minutes walk to Umhlanga Rocks beach and the famous Whale Bone pier. Surprisingly, it is really close to the Umhlanga action and restaurants, but peaceful inside. The Staff was great, they were quick to do anything that needed doing and had access or instructions for the various activities in the area. They even helped out with the 2 year. I will certainly stay again!”
