“We stayed at this property for 4 days and it was a great choice regarding it's proximity to all of the surrounding destinations. The location is perfect for getting around and a provided EV charger is an added bonus if you can take advantage. The area is quiet so if you want to stay in and relax like we did for part of our stay, it is a great choice as well. “Enjoyed everything about this place! Spectacularly clean. Comfy beds. Great gathering spaces indoors and out. Close to everything in the region. Fabulous evenings at the fire pit after grilled dinners in the deck. Completely hassle free entry. Everything works. Exactly as pictured/described !!”

“It was perfect hideaway for two couples to unwind and relax with absolutely breathtaking scenery, all the amenities you need, and a beautiful clean home. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck as the sun rose before us, visited fabulous local wineries, cooked in the well-appointed spacious kitchen, sat out and watched the stars pop out in the evening, warmed up around a late-night fire pit, and slept like babies in comfy beds. It is very remote, but that's the best part. If you want to get back……

“My siblings and I stayed for a week at this lovely house. We swam, kayaked, fished, and relaxed on the huge decks. On our walks we saw deer, turkey, egrets and more. The house sits on a small lake with clear, deep water, perfect for swimming. We cooked meals in the spacious kitchen and shopped in Waynesboro, which is only about 20 minutes away. Every night we watched incredible sunsets from the deck.If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing spot, this is the place!”

“One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out.”

“House was great and had everything we needed. Highly recommend. Large and private, but not quite secluded. Can see other houses. Mountain driveway is not to be underestimated. 4WD required and need tall clearance under car. It is 1-car wide and challenged when you meet another car coming the other way. Close enough to both Shenandoah for outdoor activities and C’ville for city attractions. Cleanliness great! Communication easy and prompt. ”
