“The pros are the hotel has great facilities for families, they have some really good slides for the kids, an arcade room, a Starbucks nearby and also car rental. There are two restaurants onsite and a few others within proximity. I also like the lobby area where they have a couple of tree swings, chess and some activities for the kids. That said, in terms of value, the room does not justify it. The bed was creaking, toilet is really small (you can’t even open the the door fully without swiping……

“I love the beach area and snorkeling at big rock. The swimming pools were awesome. Watching the sunset from here was beautiful. We had several restaurants in the area to choose from. Parking was easy and convenient. Great location to explore from, close to many options. Not crazy about the shower.”

“I stayed at this property when it was Embassy Suites almost 30 years ago. Grounds are just as lovely but the interior is a bit institutional-like. Could use updating and a bit of decor. We were not there for the room though so it worked. Host was communicative and unit was clean and got a good price on it- no complaints”

“We had a wonderful time with this unit being our home base for our 10-day Maui trip. The resort made relaxing easy as everything was easily accessible and enjoyable. The property manager was communicative and responsive. It was an added bonus to get to watch the sunrise over the mountains in the mornings. We would definitely stay here again! ”

“We enjoyed our stay. The bell boys were amazing and helpful. The resort was nice and clean and perfect location for everything we needed ”

“My family of 4 and I had a great time at the Honua Kai resort. Our particular unit was very spacious and had a huge wrap-around deck with a nice view of the mountain and grassy areas. The kitchen is small but is well-stocked as we cooked quite a bit. Honua Kai facilities are very nice with multiple pools and hot tubs and convenient access to the beach and food truck park as well. The Duke’s restaurant is nice but a bit pricey and mediocre food. You pay for the view and convenience but staff is……
