Come join us out at our little homestead just 20 minutes from K-State! Enjoy a unique and relaxing stay in our regenerated historic stone schoolhouse cottage built in 1876! The home - located off of pavement - sits on 5 acres and comes completely equipped with a full kitchen and washer/dryer at your disposal. The vaulted ceilings, original wood beams, and stone walls make this cozy cottage one of the most character-packed and charming stays you'll find near MHK.

Interesting old re-purposed schoolhouse. Beds aren't great, one bed very creaky, one futon, one fold out couch. All are old. TV was up very steep stairs, like climbing a ladder. Not so great for us older folks. Many of the reviews mentioned great breakfast or food. I was told they don't offer breakfast any more. They did give us some fresh chicken eggs to cook on our second day. Chickens and cats running loose all around, they did ask us to not let them inside.

Loved our stay!! Such a quaint, charming, clean, little place where you can just relax! I will definitely keep this little gem in mind next time I visit KS.

What a gem,I almost wanted to keep it a secret..lolThe area is so beautiful,its my favorite part of KS,loved being so close to the lake. The house is darling and definitely well stocked with pretty much everything you need. I slept very well here,and enjoyed all the animals. I hope to come back next year.
