“The cabin was very clean and just the right size for me, my wife and our dog. The owner was great with communication. The only downside was the entire lake had weeds growing to nearly the top of the water, so it is not swimmable. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and ready for us to settle in. There were plenty of bath towels, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The beds were comfortable and there were good amenities. Kitchen was well stocked. I'd recommend adding a cheese grater and measuring spoons though. :) There is a loft with 4 beds and a couple of couches. Great place for kids to hang. We loved the enclosed porch that faced the lake. Thanks! We'll be back!”

“Great location and view. Cozy cottage! Clean and beautiful view. ”

“The lake view was perfect. We could see occasional boaters (speed, pontoon, canoe) but motors never intruded. We were visited daily by a large pelican slowly paddling by and a group of Canadian geese (4 adults, 5 goslings) on the shoreline, and a black squirrel. The cabin was furnished with many added features (TV, grilling and fire pit items, kitchen supplies, comfy beds and towels).My friend and I were celebrating her retirement and we wanted a quiet retreat to relax by the water, read, play……

“Cowdry cabin and Hut worked perfectly for two couples getting away.The cabin to water proximity is perfect and flat.Plenty of and varied outdoor chairs to choose from and the lake is the show. Morning dancing dragonflies, loons and ducks, and spectacular sunsets.Cabin is charming and comfortable, plenty of space to spread out to read and relax or get together for meals and cards.I recommend to others looking for an Alexandria lake front stay. “What an awesome cabin on lake Osakis! We had a group of 6 friends and had a great time. The cabin is clean and has plenty of room for everyone. Kids will LOVE staying here, there is a fun loft and they can fish right off the dock. There’s room to tie up your boat on the dock as well. The owner was very responsive and helpful with my questions. I highly recommend! ”

“Two besties met halfway for a girls weekend. Close to Alexandria and all it has to offer. The Boathouse was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed an evening on the deck with the beautiful fall colors on the lake. Host was available by phone and let me know that by a phone call before I checked in. Everything was easy and I would not hesitate to book again. In fact my friend even said we need to do this again. ”
