“Thank you again for providing such a fantastic base for our holiday. Curlew Cottage was equipped with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the en-suite was a bonus. The location was stunning with a wonderful view to enjoy from the lovely garden. Betty the Cockapoo had a great time, getting to know the other animals, though I think she might have been disappointed that Jack, the sheep, wouldn't chase her. She enjoyed meeting them all. We definitely plan to return hopefully……

“Beautiful bungalow in peaceful setting close to great pub and cafe. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Just a shame no outside seating as we had lovely weather and unable to sit outside, there are misleading pictures of outside furniture on the listing. Also strange a well equipped place like this does not have a washing machine there is certainly room for one in the kitchen.”

Location was perfect for exploring and visiting Alton towers! Thanks to Karl for a seamless check in! So friendly and everything was 5 star perfect - thanks we will be back! ”

“really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! ”

“We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned. “We had spotted this cottage on previous walks on visits to the area and wanted to try it. Very well appointed and comfortable cottage in a lovely area. We will definitely come again. One minor suggestion would be that property gets a larger frying pan as the one provided is quite small (or you could take one along with you!) ”

“We had a lovely 9 night stay in Kingfisher Cottage, it is ideally situated for walking with lots of routes from outside the front door. the cottage is comfortable and extremely well equipped with plenty of crockery, utensils etc enabling you to prepare meals, couple of good pubs in the village which serve meals. We loved the area and are planning on returning in the future.”
