“We had a great time at The Blue Door Chalet. The house is well equipped, heated and welcoming. We arrived with a heated house, which was very pleasant, especially with a baby. There is a range of games and books in case of bad weather. The bedding is perfect. We love the little "cabane" for kids/teen. We'll be back for sure.If I have to snipe, it would be nice to have a cot and a baby chair to avoid moving our house.The only thing was that the spa ran out of water and had a bad smell.”

“We were up at Waimarino to ski for the week with our two young children, the house was a perfect little bolt hole when weren’t on the mountain!Our only issues were that while there was a log burner and wood for it, unfortunately the wood was all rather damp and there was no way to chop any smaller kindling to even get the fire going, thank goodness for the heat pump, so we were all sorted! Also the Freeview box lost signal on our last night, but no biggie, we were all ready for an early night by……

“We loved our stay here and would have stayed longer. The house is beautifully laid out with the living areas upstairs (beautiful views!) and the sleeping downstairs. The kitchen is quite well appointed and has an excellent oven and stove. It's a little drive to anywhere but we had a rental car so that was no issue, only 15 mins to Tongariro visitors centre. ”

“The house was great, we stayed so my husband and brother in law could do the Tongariro Crossing. We all stayed including the kids and there was plenty of room and had everything we needed. John was great allowing a super late checkout for us also. The housr was clean and tidy. Perfect property for our stay and family numbers. Would highly recommend this property ”
