The location is great, with easy to access everywhere.The facilities at this hotel are outdated, and the towels provided were thin and rough. Compared to other hotels, the experience was disappointing. Although the hotel was not busy on the day of our arrival, we were still made to wait until 4 PM for check-in. In contrast, a hotel we stayed at just a week prior kindly offered us early check-in at no extra charge due to low occupancy.
Upon check-out, there was no staff at the front desk. I tried calling the number provided on the sign, but no one answered, so I had to do self check out It has now been nearly 20 days, and I still haven’t received my security deposit of CAD 250. For comparison, the previous hotel only required a CAD 100 deposit, which was refunded immediately after check-out. When I called to follow up, the staff simply said the refund is processed automatically and that they were unable to check the status.
Additionally, although I had fully prepaid for the stay through Expedia, I was still charged a resort fee of CAD 6.89 at the hotel. The explanation given was that the fee must be paid directly to the hotel, even though they acknowledged this was a duplicate charge. They told me to contact Expedia myself for a refund. I emailed Expedia, but have yet to receive a response.
