I was traveling with my small, quiet dog, so naturally, I had the “privilege” of paying extra for a pet-friendly room. In my opinion, these pet fees are nothing more than a cash grab. My dog is well-behaved—quiet, small, and far better mannered than many people’s children. Yet, I’m still charged extra just for bringing him along.
My room overlooked the pool on the second floor, which turned out to be a huge downside. The noise was relentless—splashing, yelling, laughing—I could hear every single sound like it was happening inside my room. The windows seemed old and offered no sound insulation. I could even make out full conversations from the pool deck. It got so bad, I had to turn on the stove fan just to muffle the noise.
I reported the issue to the front desk. They offered to move me to another room on the same floor, but it overlooked the street. Since the pool was set to close in about four hours, I chose to stay put.
To top it off, the bathroom fan looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The entire room needs a serious deep clean. Do better! You charge enough.
