“The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice. The main drive for Hetton Hall is nearby but that wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxing time in this excellent property. “We had a great stay, lovely and clean. Thank you for the welcome pack. Great base to visit the surrounding area. There is a village shop that sells lovely produce, and the Swan pub is a very friendly. Great chip shop . If we come back to Northumberland we would definitely stay here again. ”

“The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things……
