Cosy Fisherman’s Cottage, minutes from High Street, Harbour & Beach

You will fall in love with our house due to its prime location being moments away from Whitstable's main shopping street with everything you need from art galleries, stylish clothes and food shops, restaurants and bars. In addition you have the beach and harbour just a few minutes' walk away, with its boats, colourful beach huts and oyster shells. The house is an ideal choice for all generations.

White Cottage was renovated extensively, converting what was a dark and cramped Victorian two-up two-down former fisherman's house in to an open plan, bright, stylish and comfortable holiday home.

Making it both, the perfect summer bolt hole, being able to sit in the secluded sun drenched garden or winter getaway with a cosy log burner to take the chill off after a walk along the beach.

The accommodation consists of a through lounge/dining area with wood burning stove and Sonos sound system, a galley style kitchen, guest toilet/utility room, and garden with outside dining. Upstairs on the 1st floor are the master Kingsize bedroom and a stunning marble master bathroom. The loft room has been converted to a spacious twin bedroom.

PLEASE NOTE the loft room is accessed via a steep original staircase and so we do not recommend for young children or people with mobility issues.



Weekly and Monthly Discounts available on the property for the longer stay

Free on street Parking is available on the street, and surrounding streets. With paid parking options (Resevoir Parking) also available within minutes from the house.

There are frequent busses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury area's. The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. There are also Taxi services available for short fares or airport runs. The nearest airport is in London and the Ferry port is in Dover.

Property was clean and great location. The only negative thing is the stairs. We were not able to bring luggage up to the top bedroom, the stairs were way too steep.

Whitstable white cottage

Property well equipped, cosy ,warm, comfortable. Sleeping was ok - after pub opposite emptied and people outside finally went home rather noisily. Very tiny roads and difficult to park. Not really suitable if mobility issues , due to steepness of stairs in cottage and distance to carry after finding parking. Shower difficult to turn off water in bathroom basin very slow to drain away. Not really suitable for young children too.

Fabulous Spot in the Nicest Seaside Town

Such a great location with everything you need. So close to downtown and the sea. It was key to have laundry and a bath and a half and a fireplace to make for a perfect stay. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended - we would do it again

A wonderful cottage and a very nice interior. Ric as a host was absolutely easygoing und caring. Any request he answered within shortest time, which made us feel welcome and looked after very well. The cottage is very spacious and it was a terrific idea to change one of the former bedrooms into a huge bathroom. Heating and fireplace was working perfectly. We had ten wonderful days in Whitstable, where we come to for new year for nearly twenty years now ...

A wonderful Christmas getaway

This little home was the perfect getaway for myself and two friends on the lead up to christmas. The house was beautifully finished, cosy and clean. We loved the wood burner and the Christmas decorations. The home is just off Harbour Street, which was just a treasure trove of little shops, wine bars and restaurants. My American friend who had never ventured out of London before said she felt like she was in the holiday!Thank you for the perfect weekend, we will definitley be back!

Gem of a place

We fell in love with Whitstable and the cottage. It looks exactly like the pictures. The owners have renovated this beautiful cottage to a great standard. The log burner was perfect to come back to after an autumnal walk a long the beach. The location is faultless, you are so close to lots of great restaurants and shops as well as the beach and harbour.

Beautiful, well located house

Beautiful house, which is well located, very close to the harbour, beach & the high street. There is a pub directly opposite which can get a bit noisy. We went in September and there was always somewhere to park in the street, which is narrow but was still manageable with my long estate car.

Lovely house is great location

House was perfect, very clean and everything you needed for two of us and our dog with a fully enclosed garden. Lots to do in the immediate area and a lovely trip out to Canterbury. The only downside would be parking, although if you drive around you should be able to find roadside parking,and the pub opposite being noisy, especially if you have children trying to sleep, but this does ease by 11ish, but the house and location is definitely worth a visit.

Great stay, perfect location!

Great house to stay in Whistable if you want to be in the heart of the action. All restaurants, activities and shopping you could possibly need are on your doorstep. The host, Ric, is responsive and super helpful. Parking was possible outside the property too, and it’s free! We had a super weekend. 😀
