I found it odd the office called me 2 separate times during the day of traveling to Wildwood for my mom's memorial service to ask what time I would be checking in. It later made sense as to why.
When we arrived, we checked into the two rooms, got our room keys and parking passes.
Upon entering the one room, we found old moldy food in the refrigerator, blood in the bath tub, throw up on the toilet and dirty sheets on the bed!
The other room had a dirty washcloth in between the beds on the floor and the room was an ice box!! Mind you it's cold there, it's winter and the AC was set at 60 some degrees. I used a chair to get up to switch it to heat and noticed the entire area where the air blows from was covered black with mold! Which I am highly allergic!! And no comforters on the bed, sheets only.
We went to the office to complain but the office was now closed, hence why he was calling to see what time I would be checking in, so he could leave.
Needless to say we had to go find another hotel, which was perfect and went to hand in the keys etc the next day and explained why we couldn't stay there.
No apology and no refund of any kind when I asked and when Expedia contacted them. I wouldn't have kept my dog there!
And I had family with me from Indiana and Florida... horrible experience to say the least!
