Peaceful house in Adirondacks

This was my first hiking trip in the Adirondacks and this little house was just perfect for my visit. All the comforts of home from the welcoming living room to the nicely stocked kitchen to the beautiful outdoor setting. Very quiet neighborhood in the woods but easy to get to the places I wanted to explore. About a 20 minute drive to Lake Placid. Enjoyed the gas fireplace! Can’t wait to come back next fall because there is so much to do in this area!

Lovely Stay

Everything we needed!

The Wilmington A-Frame was everything we needed to spend our time in Lake Placid. Everything was just as described and pictured. Dana was great to work with! Our family would defiantly stay here again.

Cozy and Cute in a Great Location

We enjoyed staying at this cozy, cute, and clean home for our annual vacation in the Adirondacks. The house is perfectly located near the Ausable River, Lake Placid, and the High Peaks.

Second Time Visit

This was our second time staying at this chalet. My wife and I brought our daughter and dog last July and had such a great time, we rebooked for this July. Its proximity to Lake Placid is a huge plus. The entire town of Wilmington is runner friendly. And there is a dog friendly park with a beach on the Ausable River within a 5 minute drive. Our daughter loved this park and all the swimming she was able to do. A small grocery store is 1.5 miles away which made shopping for meals a breeze. We loved our time here and will be booking again in the future.

Wonderful get away!

We had a great time at this chalet. We were in close proximity to High Peaks hiking and 15 minutes from restaurants in Lake Placid. The chalet was decorated beautifully and everything worked great. We loved the grill and French press. It was a private property (there was one house in front of us we could see through some trees, but it was still private). There was a big deck that got sun during the peak sun hours, so we spent some time tanning as well. Ac worked great and the bed was comfortable. The oven was a little small, but it worked fine. I don’t think it would fit a 9x13 pan, so just plan for that. We cooked most of our meals on the grill and there was plenty of propane. We had an amazing stay!

Charming, comfortable, tastefully updated, very clean, close to everything and private. Safe area is an understatement. Whiteface Mountain is only a few minutes drive. Owners respond quickly to any questions or concerns.

Winter views of Whiteface from the porch!

We had a lovely stay here and would recommend this to anyone who finds proximity to whiteface, quiet, and seclusion a priority. The accommodations were clean, upstairs bed was comfortable, shower water was hot, and the fireplace added extra warmth after returning from a long day of skiing. The host was quick to respond to questions, and check in and out were straightforward. Thank you!

Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend

I booked the Black Diamond Chalet for a laid back, relaxing weekend for my husband, myself and our 2 pups. BDC did not disappoint. The space was perfect for us. With rain for a good amount of the trip, we spent a lot of time in the living area. The fold out couch and gas fireplace made for a very cozy Saturday. The chalet is very close to town yet feels secluded and is private.

Another Great Stay

I enjoyed another wonderful stay here. The house is clean, cozy, and comfortable, with all the amenities I need. I love the location; it feels secluded but is well situated for hiking and sight seeing in the Adirondacks. It was an incredibly hot week for September, so it got a little warm inside. That was a small price to pay and it did not dampen another great vacation stay here. I look forward to coming back again next year. Thanks.

Great property!

The chalet was perfect for our family of three plus our small dog. On a very private road very close to all attractions we wanted to visit. Kitchen had everything we needed to make some meals at home. Owner was communicative and available via email if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here when we visit again!

Would have gave 5 stars but vary dirty, clead up cigarette buts and dog poo from other renters...cleaned in side of the house to. Very good location and awsome yard and fire pit..need a better house keeper...

Would 100% return!

Such a beautiful cabin, quiet location, tucked away and private without being isolated. The beds were super comfy, and this was the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever encountered. Everything was considered. This was exactly what we had been hoping for.

Fantastic Get Away with Our Fur Babies

This was our first trip with 2 huskies and it was perfect. The weather held out and we were able to take advantage of all the breweries and trails very close to the property. The cabin itself was immaculate. Would definetly stay again.

Beautiful Chalet

The location and property itself was very clean, ideal, and easy to get to. It's proximity to both Lake Placid and Lake Champlain was perfect as Placid is 15 minutes in one direction and Champlain was 40 in another. Whether it was rainy or sunny, there was always something to do. The one part of the property that I would change would be the small metal cords acting as support railings on the deck and stairs up to the loft. While they look great and add a touch of modern to a classic A-Frame, we had to regularly keep an eye on our 16 month old as she walks everywhere and those cords aren't exactly child friendly. Other than that, it was as advertised and a very comfortable stay. We would definitely stay again.
