Waterfront Cottage in a 200 Acre Conservation Area

Currently undergoing renovations to provide an upscale and memorable experience. Check back soon for updated photos! Our cottage is exquisitely designed for couples or families. This property is the only cottage within the Conservation Area, and features a high level of privacy. The modern design is ideal for two adults and 4 children,and has a beautiful outdoor living space with gas barbecue, eating area, conversation area and fire pit. The dark skies in the park are perfect for evening star gazing. The interior includes modern conveniences such as a smart television, full size stove and fridge. Linens are provided, and there are laundry services available at the on-site seasonal campground.
Waterfront Cottage located in Holiday Beach Conservation Area. This cottage is perfect for couples or families looking for a relaxing get a way. Located in the heart of a mature Carolinian forest, this waterfront cottage at Holiday Beach Conservation Area is steps away from Lake Erie's sandy beach, with breathtaking views. Holiday Beach is globally recognized as an important bird area. Other park amenities include walking trails, boardwalks, a fishing pond, a 40 foot viewing tower overlooking the Big Creek wetland and large picnic areas. The park is conveniently located close to splash pads, wineries, historic sites and many restaurants.
This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 14 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, no pets.

Hawk-Watching Weekend
We rented the cottage in order to visit the Hawk Tower in the Essex Cty Conservation Area. It was the perfect convenient location and a cozy place to relax after a day spent outdoors. We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a special way to enjoy the comforts of home in a beautiful natural setting. It was our third visit and we look forward to coming back again.

Highly Recommend
I would highly recommend this property. There was plenty of room for our family of 4, the amenities were great for our stay, the property had both beach access and access to trails and different places to explore outside. The communication for check in procedures was smooth and we had no issues while on the property. We are looking forward to going back again.

Time went by too quickly
This was our second time at the cottage and we are already planning for next year. We especially love how secluded and private the area is. And every morning being able to have coffee while watching bunnies and squirrels and listening to the host of songbirds is so very peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful stay!

This is a gem - I hesitate to review it because I wish it could remain a hidden gem but it is owned by a conservation authority so they deserve all the rental income they can get. Fabulous, clean location with the glorious park to yourself in evenings! The only drawback is the very noisy air-conditioning/furnace system and water tank. But I would return for a third stay.

The cottage is relatively new, and well kept. Someone has given a lot of thought to the needs of guests, well provided for with linen and paper products [thank you!]. We Loved It!
Tastefully but practically decorated. We all had our own level of privacy due to the layout. Loved the secluded site. Central air and a dishwasher were a bonus that we have never before enjoyed at any of our previous cottages. We will definitely be back!
