“Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. A few excited moments at dusk when we caught sight of several whales waaaaay out – okay, turned out be distant shoals but what fun! Enjoyed long walks … to……

“Clean, well appointed rooms with an amazing view of the ocean. The owners are very considerate of traveller’s, with the amenities offered in the home. The Kitchen is stocked with quality items. A very pleasurable stay!”

“A lovely property inside and out! The landscaping gives a peaceful and private view of the bay. Nicely decorated with even small vases of fresh flowers tucked in each room. The owners respond quickly and provide detailed descriptions and information. We hope to return for a longer stay!”

“The cottage was comfortable and well set up. We will definitely consider going back: it's a great distance for a weekend getaway from Halifax, and the amenities are nice (that sauna!). The only issue we found (because we went to curl up and read books together!) was that the lighting in the main space was not great: a couple of floor lamps would have been great. ”
