Tucked along the banks of the Big Hole River and La Marche Creek, our newly built 7,500 square foot home sits on 350 private acres of unspoiled Montana wilderness. Whether you’re planning a family trip, a fishing or hunting trip, a getaway with friends, or a quiet retreat in nature, this place gives you space, comfort, and scenery that’s hard to beat.
The house sleeps up to 16 and has six spacious bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. Upstairs master suite has a private balcony that overlooks the river, perfect for morning coffee or sunset views you won’t forget. The kitchen is a dream to cook in, with high-end appliances and two dishwashers to make cleanup easy after a big group meal. There’s also a full gym, a game room, and a bar for relaxing or entertaining, plus a 37 foot balcony that looks out over the Big Hole River and the surrounding Pintler Mountains.
For fly fishing lovers, the Big Hole River is legendary. You’ll find five species of game fish here, including brown, rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout, plus the last stronghold of native fluvial arctic grayling in the Lower 48. With hatches like the salmon fly, Mother’s Day caddis, PMDs, and tricos, it’s a place anglers dream about and it’s right outside your door.
You’ll feel worlds away from everything, but we’re just 50 minutes from Butte Airport or about 2 hours from Bozeman. While there is wifi in the house, there is no cell service once you leave the main road, so it’s a good idea to download directions before heading out.
This remote stretch of Montana is also home to the famous Wise River Club, owned by musician Tim Montana and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. It’s a great local stop for a burger, a drink, or just a bit of Montana character.
If you’re looking to unplug, spread out, and experience the best of Montana, this is it. It’s peaceful, raw, and beautiful, with just the right mix of rustic and luxury. Perfect for fishing trips, family gatherings, or anyone who wants to trade noise for nature.
Come experience why they call the Big Hole Montana’s Last Best River.
