“House was immaculately clean and fresh. Great private location that makes you feel like you’re away from it all. We happened to check in on a hot, humid , 90 degree plus day ( more and more of those in the ADKS these days) and just know there is only 1 portable AC unit in the entire place. Not truly adequate to cool the whole house with the back bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom and two floor fans that we found in the closets but if you’re use to AC just be aware, it’s a bit warm.……

“We enjoyed our stay: heard many birds, saw some beautiful sunsets. Exploring Middlebury and the maritime museum were highlights. The host was extremely helpful and responsive. This is a great getaway for a young couple.”

“This was a wonderful site that I would love to visit again. The river flowing by was so beautiful. I would like to stay again when we don’t have so much rain. The river was too raging for any swimming. The only downside was there was a bit of a steep walk down to the site from the parking area, but you do have to go downhill to be near a river.”

“This house was perfect for our party of 7. Spacious and comfortable for all. Very secluded and quiet area. A short drive to Lake Placid Olympic museum and arenas. We also stopped at the ski jump area and watched the young jumpers practice. Highly recommend! Check out Emma’ Lake Placid Creamery. Excellent!”
