“Loved everything about the caboose. Immaculately clean and the attention to detail. The only problem is the beds. They have the old metal springs which one of the most uncomfortable and painful sleeping experiences of my life. Maybe ok for little kids but not a person in their 50’s. We ended up sleeping in the 2 chairs. Area did not have too much but I did love watching the functional trains across the back area. I would give my review 5 stars except for the beds.”

“Thiscstay had everything you could ask for and more from a well supplied kitchen to water gear of all kinds. Amanda was thoughtful andcefficient. The lake is my very favorite swimming place!”

“This cottage is adorable-beautifully decorated and well appointed. I seriously want to hire whoever decorated this house for my house! Excellent communication with the owner. We stayed in January and it was cold!! The gas logs made it nice and toasty, but it took us a while to figure them out, written instructions on how to turn on the fireplace would have been helpful-but other than that we had a great stay! ”

“In town for my daughters graduation with family. The location on the lake was wonderful! The listing pictures were quite accurate. The house was the most well equipped of any rental I have utilized to date! The kitchen had everything from spices to coffee pods to soy sauce to butter in the fridge. Well stocked toiletries as well. Our host was very thoughtful and easy to contact if needed. We enjoyed our stay! ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This cottage perfect for two people. The location has all the amenities you could ask for. Climbing up and down the 43 steps to cottage can be tiring especially for the elderly. There is Liquer store very close buy and grocery store within 5 miles. I must say that prices there very high, but in no way does that reflect on owner. We certainly are looking forward to coming back for another stay.”

“Warm and cozy. It was so nice to sit out on the porch with a complimetary bottle of wine and cookies from our host. He came to make sure we got into the home. It was very kind and thoughtful. Great location. We would love to stay here again. Highly recommend this cottage. ”

“When staying away from home, there are three subjects that are must requirements. Lodging must be clean, quiet, and safe. The cottage here checks all of those boxes. The name is appropriate because it is quiet, peaceful, recharging to one's peace, and feels just like home. The location is secluded, yet the few neighbors are friendly. The interior is well-appointed and comfortable, and the experience was uniquely pleasant. Thank you to the owners for an enjoyable stay.”

“Little Dipper Retreat was pure bliss! I went for just a few days with my dog to unwind after the school year ended, and the cottage exceeded all expectations. The interior of the property was spotless, well-appointed, and appliances were all up to date, including excellent wifi and air conditioning. The dock, patio and yard were private and well-maintained, and the kayaks and paddleboat were in excellent condition. The water is shallow, calm and very clear for a lake, so I felt comfortable……
