Overall, Surf Suites gets a 5/5. Really, it’s one of the quietest and most relaxing places I have slept.
What I liked: Comfortable bed, Oceanfront room (the living room overlooks the water), the balcony/porch, updated kitchen and living area and plenty of closet space. Free parking for the room (this is HUGE).
What I didn’t love: Bathroom needs updating, could’ve been a little cleaner. They put me in a ground corner room initially and I had to ask to be moved. They did give me a little pushback, saying I should’ve called for a better room.
Things to know:
1. You get one parking spot. They will accommodate a visitor if there is room. Street parking is available but it fills up QUICK.
2. There is coffee in the lobby. Thank you.
3. Sunday’s, across the street, has good coffee, baked goods, a really nice staff and good beers. They have sandwiches that you can microwave on site (skippable… just don’t).
TLDR: This is pretty much the perfect beach motel. I wanted to stay longer and I would definitely return.
