“What a fantastic stay at Africamps Mackers in Hazyview. Not only is the location breathtaking, but the accommodation is perfectly crafted for a glamping experience. It had everything we needed. We had the best time and are definitely Africamp fans. ”
“Kruger Park Lodge in general is a very nice property. The property is very well kept, clean and well looked after. The facilities are great with the hippo hide where you can watch hippos safely as well as an extremely nice golf course on the property with impala walking on the course. The pool area is very nice and the restaurant (G’s) is good. There is also a lapa area where they do a traditional braai (think bbq on steroids) and a river area you can walk to. All the staff we met were extremely……
“Awesome stay! House is well situated for utmost privacy and comfort. Added bonus of an inverter during load shedding powering up the most essential things and excellent WiFi.
Would book again.”
“My wife and I loved our 3-night stay at Eagle’s Nest Chalets in Hazyview. The cozy, private chalets immersed us in nature, just minutes from Kruger’s Phabeni Gate. A special thanks to Riekie for being such a warm and welcoming host! Gravel roads, no WiFi in rooms? No problem—it made our digital detox even better. Peaceful, comfortable, and ideal for couples. Hopefully, we get to be back!”
“This is a nice property near Phabeni gate of Kruger National Park, which is just a 6 minute drive. Akani is a great host and if you need anything he will bend over backwards to help! You can park right next to your chalet, which is very helpful. - I personally hate lodges where you have to park a distance away! - There is a pub nearby that gets noisy at times, but if you run a fan it drowns out the noise. The property is very close to the main road and is very safe! ”
“A lovely property beautifully appointed and in a beautiful setting. Home is spacious with every amenity you could want. Wish we could stay here our entire time at Kruger Park. ”
“Overall good and safe experience. It felt like having your own house in nature next to the Kruger National Park. That house was for me alone with plenty of space and total beds for up to 4 persons. It was all clean and tidy. The only downside is that it wasn't climatic controlled the only cooling devices are fans which can be cold during night. Don't expect a 5 Star hotel but you get the local experience.”
“The lodge was beautiful and peaceful. I liked the consideration given to all the little things, like the usb & 2 pin charges, the emergency lights etc.
The only thing it is a bit far out, but if looking for quite & peace, it the place to be. ”
“An absolutely wonderful place. The house is beautiful and spacious. Good amenities. The owner was very responsive to any issues we had. I would definitely recommend this place. ”
“Property had no internet after day one. Messaged owner via Hotels.com - no response! Had to go and buy a sim with data to use the internet.
Property had a lot of cockroaches in the bedrooms on a daily basis. Messaged the owner via Hotels.com - no response!
The adjoining building/house had building work going on all week throughout the daytime. Builders outside welding and brick laying, made it impossible to use the outside space/braai area in the daytime. Messaged the owner via Hotels.com - no……
“We had a great stay. The property looks over the Sabie River and has a family of resident hippos to entertain you.
The staff were friendly and Lucas in particular went above and beyond when my hire car had a puncture in a tyre and he went with me, after his shift finished,to the tyre repair place and helped me to get it fixed. I thoroughly recommend the lodge for providing the ambience and great setting of the really expensive luxury lodges but at a fraction of the price.”
“Prettig verblijf met zeer vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk eten (zowel ontbijt als diner) en alles netjes en schoon. Ook mooie uitvalsbasis voor activiteiten in de buurt zoals panoramaroute en Kruger. Leuke plek!”
