“Lovely location. It is a steep walk up the hill to the bungalows but only about 10 mins from the main area of bars and restaurants. Great views from the view of the bay and the hills behind. Very peaceful.”

“Clean, two small room bathroom. Only lower floor of building. High up on a ridge. Village has not much to offer (no shops, no restaurants). 25 minutes to beach and to Monemvasia, 10 minutes to nearest (very good) restaurant. Winds can get very strong, as we experienced. Good communications with owner. ”

“The Akrotiri Hotel was really good, so much so that we stayed longer than planned. The host Timus was very accommodating explaining that the breakfast was €7 extra per person despite the booking site stating that it was free but the receipt was ambiguous in that respect. The who are was very clean and tidy with fantastic beaches that we had largely to ourselves given it was still early in the season with clean public toilets at most beaches and towns. Regrettably a few inconsiderate camper vans……

“This property is really special. It is spacious and beautiful and just has a certain quality about it. That makes you feel like a queen. The owner‘s mom lives down the hill and, although she doesn’t speak a lot of English, she was thorough in welcoming us and Showing us how to use the kitchen, etc. She had a crisper drawer full of fresh oranges and lemons and an electric orange juice maker. I did some laundry and hang it out on the line in the evening, and it smelled wonderfully fresh the next……

“We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a bicycle trip in the peloponnese. The location in old town was perfect - a bit busy during the day, but wonderful after about 5:00 p.m. The accomodation was excellent, but be aware that if you are trying to self-cater and use the kitchen facilities, there is no real grocery store in the old town, so you have to walk/drive the 1.5 km back to the new town (which has great facilities).
