Good stay at the hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is centrally located, very clean and quiet; bed and sofa are comfortable, everything in the room are good except the coffee bar area, which is small and the board above the area is low, you have to be very careful to avoid it hitting your head.

The property was ok and staff friendly enough but we had an issue with one of the guests who was disabled. We sent a message to the hotel before we went but when we got there the hotel said they had not read it as they get so many and are too busy. May I suggest you either increase resources so that you can read and respond to messages or remove the service so people know they need to find other ways of contacting the hotel - some of these messages could be very important!

Room poorly equipped, no fridge, very limited storage, draws, cupboard space, wardrobe space, no bags for Nepresso, wi-fi unavailable (we were told we could get it in the gym), could not get programme list on television. Receptionist attitude was 'flippant' and although we asked for our comments to be passed on, when we spoke to assistant manager (who was a lot better), she knew nothing about our concerns. We paid for a 'deluxe room' but could not see how our room could be more basic, so we asked the question and was told all the rooms are small, the only difference between a standard and deluxe room is that a deluxe room has a view of Clifford's Tower, rather than walls of other buildings and has air-conditioning. We dined at the hotel restaurant the first night of our stay and found it was expensive for what we got and our food was warm at best. It cost just under £60.00 for a burger, a salad and two of the smallest coca-colas we have ever seen (£4.00 each) and did not go back the following night, preferring a very nice meal at a nearby Italian restaurant. We will never book Hilton again.

Everything was good except the wifi didn't work. The staff knew about it, but not really much they could do. We like the location and were able to get to all the tourist attractions by foot. It's worth buying the breakfast buffet the night before it, will save you 5 pounds. It's not the best buffet but is very convenient. Ask for a castle view room when booking.

This hotel desperately needs refurbished. Shower rubbish, bathroom very dated. Air con not working had to get maintenence to fix but still was poor.Tower veiw but couldnt see out of window as double glazing unit is shot. Wouldnt stay again. No fridge no milk.

Reception staff were terrible. We completed paperwork on arrival and they said they would text when the room was ready. We came back to the hotel at 4.30pm and it took 15 minutes to sort out a room, I had to show them my email confirmation etc, not sure what happened but whatever we took time to do earlier had disappeared. The next day we checked in our bags and when wr returned they took our tickets and came back after a good 10 minutes with 1 holdall, not as described. I had to go to the baggage room myself as they bags could not be located by the staff. Room was ok, bathrooms are awful. Staff in the bar and at breakfast are absolutely fantastic 10/10
