“My son and I stayed overnight ahead of an early morning duck hunt at Fish Point Wildlife Refuge in Unionville—just a quick 25-minute drive from the hotel. Our room featured two queen beds that were exceptionally comfortable, and everything was spotless. We especially appreciated being able to open the window and enjoy some fresh air. “Bad Axe Motel may not be a new modern establishment, but it's updated, very clean, comfortable beds, equipped kitchenette, in the country on a main road, & convenient location. With parking right in front of room door. I would absolutely stay again, and recommend it.”

“In a neighborhood. People on both sides of property lines. I think I saw them once, still felt very private. 10-15 minutes from a lot of really cool nature spots. Close enough to small towns that you’ll feel like a choice to be private, or be in little tourist areas at your leasure.We didn’t want for anything as far as dishes utensils towels everything. Had a cool rinse station to get sand off when you get out of lake with hot and cold water. Stocked with everything you needed. Great furniture……

“The property was clean, nicely decorated, had a lot of stuff for the kitchen, felt very homey. The property managers were very accessible. They responded within minutes and they sent you a text of the area events which was a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again!!”

“Ideal location on the water. Ample space, well stocked kitchen. Having onsite washer and dryer was incredible. Even with a power outage it was the perfect place to stay. Only complaint air conditioning consisted of one window unit so it got a bit muggy on the warmer days, but otherwise fantastic. ”
