“A great place to stay that won't Break the bank. I'll be honest- I have a hard time reviewing hotels like Gateway to the Breaks because a five star review may create unrealistic expectations while a three or even four star review seems too harsh. The fact is that this is a basic hotel with very few amenities; they don't offer breakfast, there are no phones in the rooms, and the only fitness activity is if you have to climb the stairs to a second story room. “We stayed for two nights for Hillbilly Days in Pikeville. It was close to the activities yet kind of out by itself to get privacy. It was very clean and well maintained. It had a nice outdoor area for relaxing outside too. I had good communication from the host and he answered all of my questions. Would stay here again. ”
