“It was ok; our daughter found hairs on her blanket that were not hers. We had a stink bug under ours. Sheets didn’t look clean but smelled like bleach so that was ok. Great for an emergency stay but not a relaxing one. The clerks/ managers were fantastic! ”

“There are not many places to stay near Hillsdale, NY. The Brooks Motel is an exceptional find. A renovated 1950s roadside motel, The Brooks provided a safe haven for the night. A no host hotel, guests are provided by email a code for the keypad on the door. A text and phone number are provided to reach the host if something is needed. The hosts are quick to respond and very gracious. Beds are new memory foam and very comfy. My only complaint is that there is no carpet on any floor, only……

“Basic motel totally renovated with simple but stylish furnishings. No one on premises but instant reply via text when we had trouble opening the keypad upon a return to the room. Nice location. Noise (from maybe kitchen fans at night from nearby restaurant ) took away from the quiet lawn setting with lots of Adirondack chairs. “Property is lovely and very well maintained. We stayed for over 10 days and it was a perfect home away from home. Owners are very kind and accommodating — when I couldn’t find a hair dryer one was delivered to the house within a couple of hours. They also offered to relocate us if we were bothered by the nearby forest fire, which was not necessary. I hope we’ll have the opportunity to stay again.”
