“The front desk is pretty good and friendly! She spend a lot of time to let us know the history of the city and recommended which food is good or not. It is safe to walk around in the night. There is no people around the hotel and pretty close to the gas station, only spend 4 mins if you drive. ”

“Perfect for a weekend getaway! Just 15 miles from historic downtown Jefferson where we spent the days. Then back to the cabin on Lake of the Pines to watch the sunset on the porch of the cabin. So quiet the only noise was the birds at the water and the squirrels chattering and playing. ”

“The house is very spacious and very well equipped, more so than most places we have stayed. We enjoyed the decor and would like to have known more about Dr. Woods and family (original owners). We would have liked to have a TV somewhere in the house and the blinds in the corner bedroom need repair or replacement. I would also suggest a little work in the back as there are uneven surfaces and we are four senior citizens. All in all , it is a very nice property with great pricing!”

“Very nice home. Very quiet neighborhood. Great location on the lake. Roads going in are not very good. We had to wipe down the refrigerator handle and shelves.”

“The home was very clean and offered plenty of space for our group. However, there was a strong smell. Maybe from being shut up for an extended period of time? One of the boys in our group said “it smells like old people in here.” I would have to agree that it was definitely a smell like an older home has sometimes. Not as well stocked as many similar properties we’ve stayed in, but had a few items handy (paper towels, toothpaste, soap). One big one is coffee! There is a pot and filters, but……

“It was gorgeous and very calming endless outdoor adventure. My only setback was this was the first experience with solar power and it would have been helpful to have a welcome book with instructions on how to unplug the outside lights when not in use as well as a guideline on the power and how to prevent overuse and what to do when if it runs out. Outside of this I highly recommend this oasis to disconnect from technology a bit and really enjoy time with your family and embrace the gorgeous……

“Was the perfect set up for our week of fishing. Would fish early, hand out on the deck during the day and fish again in the evening. Great home and great view from back deck.”
