“We loved or tiny cabin and enjoyed the privacy”

“Beautiful cabin with cozy details. Highly recommend for a couple. It is small and with no bedroom door more of a studio but otherwise matches the pictures. I was disappointed that the gas fireplace wasn’t working and despite some troubleshooting via email with the host we were not able to get it operational during our stay. The heat in the cabin was excellent, quiet and efficient and the shower was great. The cabin is far enough from town to give quiet and privacy but very convenient to West……

“We had a wonderful time at the Greystone cabin! It's extremely close to downtown and walkable to everything. So convenient! The house had everything we needed, and the host was great with regards to communication. Would stay again!”

“Overall we loved our stay. The drive way is steep and it is a solid 30 minutes from a store or gas station. However it is a beautiful place to be for the weekend. The sun hits the deck and land in the morning and you get a good view. The land is all on a hill so no real flat sections. Lovely fire pit which we loved. The cabin itself is very well kept and clean. Lovely details. ”

“This was a nice stay in a cool mini cabin. It is near the shops and restaurants of downtown West Jefferson, and easy driving to hiking or other interesting towns like Sparta or Boone. There's a little porch on the front, but not much reason to hang out outside on site - my only negative.Would recommend!”

“This is the second time our family has stayed at Crown Jewel . The house is beautiful, and the view is amazing. A few suggestions are: a couple of chairs in the master bedroom would be helpful, the kitchen equipment should be reviewed , ie no kitchen sheers, not enough teaspoons for 11 people, toaster only works on one side. Also a light weight vac for upstairs, would help the occupants to keep it clean. Otherwise , it is a lovely, family friendly vacation home.home. ”

“We all enjoyed staying at the Mountain Heir. The new owners have added a lot of nice touches and it was a very comfortable stay. We have stayed in the house many times over the years, and it is perfectly suited for our growing family. We now have five grandkids in two families to go along with us (the grandparents). Each family had as much privacy as they wanted, but we also had some awesome family time. The six year old particularly enjoyed the Pac Man game! All in all, a wonderful long……

“Nice place… perfect for our needs. Bed was comfortable, water in shower was hit and had good pressure. I like that there was an ice maker. We did have to park down below and walk up which wasn’t a problem for us but a neighbor with a cane had problems. Location was great and we enjoyed our stay!”
