“Pros:The location for skiing was perfect; you could walk right out of the locker room to the ski area. The restaurants and staff were super friendly. Cons:The parking was a hike, and dropping off your luggage was challenging. We had a difficult time trying to find check-in for the Expedition Station. Overall, it was a clean, safe, and amazing location!”

“This place is an absolute gem if you want peace and quiet. Lots of birds. Squirrels, chipmunks, deer and owls. We have visited this cabin twice now and will definitely be back again.”

“We had a good time here, but there are things that could use improvement. There was a snowstorm the day we were set to arrive and we were not sure if we were going to be able to get to the property. I got a text from the owner of the house the day of check in asking if we had a 4WD vehicle as the road goes unplowed usually. Luckily, we had AWD and snow tires so we were okay. I wish we would have had been notified sooner of the lack of phone service, lack of plowing, and also the fact that there……

“We had an amazing stay at this cabin in Slaty Fork! The location was perfect just a short drive to Snowshoe Mountain, making it super convenient for skiing. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The fireplace and hot tub made for the perfect spot to relax after a long day on the slopes, and the scenic surroundings added to the charm. The host was great, responsive and helpful throughout our stay.”

“Great property with well appointed kitchen. Convenient location for ski in and ski out. We found it somewhat challenging to get the info we needed from RedAwning. The bot on the chat was a frustrating experience. And the emailed check in info seemed complete except that it did not provide specific details for the Black Bear Crossing units.The messaging could have been more crisp and actually related to the rental unit rather than a generic message for all rental locations. It seemed impossible……

“The condo was well appointed and comfortable for a family of 4. The view of the slopes amazing and it was so easy to get on/off slopes quickly. The only sight negative was the bed was extremely soft, which after a day of skiing makes it hard to get out of and the pillows were not great. Also being on the top floor, it was difficult to control the heat...it got very hot! But, the kitchen had everything we needed and the place suited our needs well! Definitely would stay again! ”
