“Great one night stay at Hotel Mato. Traditional old Greek house where the lady owner was so helpful and friendly. We had a room at the top of the house (up a spiral staircase) which had a spacious balcony with amazing views of the port. Lovely traditional Greek breakfast. The location is fantastic for Skiathos old town and the ferry port. Would recommend (as long as you like cats - she has tons them! ) ”

“I do wish I could have stayed longer for the picturesque scenery of the island and the Aegean Wave Hotel which offers great view of the sea. The exquisite decor of the room is especially worthy of mentioning, not sure how to define the style but it's just relaxing. The room type I chose was 1 Standard room; I was led to it by walking through a small but tasteful living room. At first I thought it was just a living room for other rooms inside, then I was surprised to find out it is part of my……

“Perfect in every way. The accomodation was in a perfect location, opposite the small road to Troulos beach and with a supermarket and bus stop 20 on its doorstep. It was spotlessly clean, modern and airy with everything you could wish for. The owner, manager and house maid were amazing, so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. ”

“Amazing see view, nice terrace, friendly owners very peaceful atmosphere. NO parking, no breakfast, room service once per week, average WiFi quality, be prepared for daily climbing to reach the car ( like 700m away). During season you need to get up early to find a place on the beach. Best option will be to leave the car on public parking and rent a motorcycle or ATV. Advice is to contact the owner to pick you up - not easy to find a place . ”

“We stayed here for 4 nights and upon arrival the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room. I asked about it right away and they told me the mechanic would come by to fix it. He never did. I inquired again the next day and they said he would come by the evening. He didn’t. I asked every day for the entire 4 days of our stay and we’re ensured he was coming to fix it and he never did.
