“Far enough out of the main town, it was quiet and even a bit wilderness-like. We rented a room (not cabin) but it felt like a cabin (except for a shared wall.) Wooden walls and ceiling, gave it a rustic feel but for us, the bed was the main attraction. Firm but cushiony, the mattress was supportive in all the right ways with soft pillows with just enough support to keep your head and neck in alignment. We slept like logs. The heating system was accurate and so quiet I had to feel for air……

“Heceta house was everything we had hoped it would be. The bnb itself was a gorgeous historic home with loads of charm. The innkeeper, Gary was the perfect host and historian. The grounds and setting were immaculate with ama ing views. Breakfast was so delicious and also fun. ”

“Absolutely wonderful! The room and the lake is the destination. No desire to go elsewhere for entertainment. The lofts are a fantastic idea. 5 of us in 2 bedrooms and we hardly noticed each other. Plenty of room. The antiques in the rooms are beautiful and they function! What an excellent experience!”

“Great place in the country!!! Beautiful surroundings, lovely tiny home with a king-sized bed, well-appointed kitchen, and the ability to shower or soak under the stars or under clear blue skies. Minimal road noise, and fun to stay in lodging that’s off the electrical grid (which was no problem at all!) Tables and chairs and awning outside for picnicking, and the hosts were lovely. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Such a beautiful cabin with a tender family history. Looking out the front windows of the cabin, I thought I was looking at picture postcards of an Oregon forest and ocean coast. What a location. The cabin was so clean and very charming. There was so much to do in the Yachats and Florence area. Great restaurants. We ate clam chowder everyday. So glad we stayed at Shelley’s Cabin”
