“Overall a great stay! Wish their beds were larger than a full (pretty snug with 2 adults in one bed). Good location, private for being so close to amenities. Neighbor dog was a bit of an annoyance, but eventually was put back inside.Kitchen was great! ”

I had a few friends stay with me some nights and we were comfortable, though it would be tight for more than 2 people for a longer stay. The farm stand down the road was a great find too, as was Todd Mercantile. I would happily stay here again! ”

“This is a quiet and truly amazing place! The setting by the creek is peaceful, and the glass roof makes it magical to fall asleep under the stars. Renee is a wonderful host—warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Her breakfast was absolutely delicious and made our mornings extra special. I stayed here with my wife to celebrate my birthday, and we both thoroughly enjoyed every moment. If you’re looking for a serene getaway with a touch of charm and nature, this cabin is perfect.”

“Bear Neccessities was amazing and perfect for our needs. Property was easily accessible, despite rainy (followed by snowy) conditions. The kids loved being able to hang out in the great room with the fireplace going, and my wife and I enjoyed the quiet. We had an interesting run-in with a couple of Carolina Wrens upon check-in, but that was more amusing than anything. Would highly recommend this property to friends or family.main room and occasionally play nintendo by the fireplace, and my wife……

“It was a short stay but would stay longer if the opportunity would arise. The chickens greeted us and they are beautiful. The place was very lovely and clean. Great place to visit. If you are from the city, you would enjoy the country. ”

“This was a nice stay in a cool mini cabin. It is near the shops and restaurants of downtown West Jefferson, and easy driving to hiking or other interesting towns like Sparta or Boone. There's a little porch on the front, but not much reason to hang out outside on site - my only negative.Would recommend!”
