“The Outpost Inn was such a wonderful stay in Highlands! Our room was darling, well appointed with a little sitting area, fireplace and record player including some throw back records that put us in the mood. “The whole stay was splendid. Paul is a wonderful host, a phenomenal cook, and a kind person. Our room was beautifully decorated, and the shower was a huge bonus to me. I love a piping hot shower, and detachable faucet so that I don’t have to get my hair wet or humid. Hardly any place has that! Our room did! The house has an interesting history, and I love the fragrance as you walk in. Like years of good breakfasts with bacon and coffee, nice furniture polish and books. It will be our go-to place……

“We enjoyed the perfect family vacation at this great place. We were immediately impressed with the entrance and amenities at Bear Lake Reserve. We were surprised at the driving distance from the entrance to the house. It took about 20 minutes to drive 5 miles. But it was a beautiful scenic ride.
