“Had a lovely stay at Chonor House. The hotel has beautiful Tibetan interiors and is a minute from the Dalai Lama Temple complex. There were some issues we had at the property - there seems to be a problem with the plumbing throughout and on one occasion, we found cockroaches at the breakfast area, but the staff was very nice and made changes as requested - changing rooms and changing the entire breakfast spread. “There were no heating in the rooms on a very cold day, infact the owner wanted additional money for providing heaters for each room. Toilet paper on the room was soaking wet and quite disgusting Linens had blood stains and smelly Locks on the bedroom were very shaky and could be opened with any key. Made us feel very unsafe When asked for recommendations manager was not very helpful and we felt only recommended spots and vendors where he had a previous arrangement with We weren't able to take……

“Wonderful stay. If you take the rooms on third floor or above you will get amazing view. Very close to Mall road but still very quite and serene. They let us do an early check in at a very reasonable cost and also they upgraded our room. It was bronze they upgraded it to silver. Although even in silver they did not provided tea, coffee sachets. Although kettle was provided. Rest everything was really great.”
