“Great location to shops and restaurants! As others have stated, disregard the exterior as it’s a little dated; however, our room was new, updated and very nice! Most comfortable bed and pillows ever! We also had a great view of the river. We didn’t eat breakfast but they had complimentary coffee and a large assortment of teas. The pool looked great, too! Would stay again and definitely recommend!! ”

“Quick overnight stay at Hotel Portsmouth. Staff was extremely responsive via text message during our stay. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Rooms were dark decor but probably this is keeping with colonial period theme decor. Breakfast in morning was nice with fresh fruit - yogurt - oatmeal and pastries. Very walkable to downtown area. ”
