“We are totally disappointed by the room and quality standards of Fairmont Haitang Bay in Sanya. We had high hopes on Fairmont, being a prestigious US hospitality brand, and left it the very last stop of our four-day-three-night itinerary. The room facilities are not professionally installed. Room size (allegedly 63 sq m but nowhere near it) and arrangement are not the same as the website suggested. I would understand this kind of standards coming from a three-star class but we paid US$200 for it……

“Hotel staff are not friendly so do not expect any greetings nor smiles from them. They were not helpful nor keen in giving information about attractions nearby. Getting your luggage to and from the room was not convenient as there wasn’t any lifts. We had to carry our own luggage up the stairs so do not carry any heavy luggage if you decide to stay here. No bellboy here. ”
