“Very inexpensive and not in ideal location on the other side of the river from the main town. A motel like feel with very friendly owner and staff. Didn’t try the outdoor pool but looks like it would be a good place to cool off for an hour or so.”

“The staff at The Columns are extremely nice and helpful. The included breakfast has many nice options and is well-prepared. We had both a double room on the first floor and a balcony room on second floor in our party, and we much preferred the first floor. It’s more spacious, better laid out, and has high ceilings. The second floor is not great for tall people because there are so many low ceilings, and the rooms feel cramped. ”

“The B Resort is a real good alternative to staying on the other downtown side of the river. Situated right on the river bank the location is good for Kampot. The staff is polite and friendly and the buildings are actually quite beautiful - like in an oldschool kind of resort way. Our room was also ok, with a terrace overlooking the Kampot River. But exactly here lies also a problem. Because by sunset the mosquitoes take over. Outside seating at this time is itchingly hard. But these little……

“J’étais quais seule dans l’établissement en raison de la fin de saison et ai pu jouir de la piscine en exclusivité. Les chambres sont très confortables et grandes. La salle de bain un peu sombre mais pratique. La piscine est géniale. Je regrette un peu le manque de vie dans l’hôtel qui m’a paru très désert ainsi qu’un petit déjeuner un peu simple. ”

Very friendly, helpful (arranged a good value return bus to Phnom Penh) and English-speaking staff. Many food options just down the street. Recommend you discuss with the owner about the various room options. ”
