“This is the second time we've stayed at Royal Inn. They are one of the very few motels that still has smoking rooms, which is a plus for us (tobacco only, btw). The room rate through Travelocity was *very* affordable. Our room was clean and smelled nice, and the air conditioner worked well to keep the Texas heat and humidity *outside*. “Clean and spacious but the AC/Heater is much less than adequate. It is only 50° outside but the heater cannot keep up. There were no extra blankets or linens for the futon and only two bath towels and two hand towels for 5 people. Also would recommend a closet with a bar for hanging clothes hangers. ”
