“We loved the retro look of the room and the hotel. As other reviewers noted, the hotel is close to sorority and fraternity houses, so there's a lot of party-related noise and activity. Also, the only free parking is on the street, so it can be hard to find a spot. We definitely will stay again because we loved the hotel and its proximity to UVA Grounds and restaurants.”

“Quiet area with convenient access to downtown Charlottesville and surrounding areas. Excellent location for those travelling with a dog (clean pet area in back of hotel and walking areas in adjacent UVA campus). Disappointed that the gym was not available. Also, some staff was friendly, but others weren't as pleasant as I would expect of those in the hospitality industry. For example, the employee at check in was involved in a conversation with a co worker about personal matters while checking……

“Checkin was easy. Snacks and kitchen area were nice. Nice touches like white noise machine, eye masks, etc were a really unexpected and nice touch. Our room was a bit cramped, and it would’ve been nice to have some plates and cutlery in the kitchen. The microwave was way too loud too. We felt like we were disturbing everyone, every time we used it. ”

“The hosts are extremely kind and welcoming. Pillows and bed in peach room were amazing!!! We had other obligations or we would have roamed the property. Maybe next time.”
