“The lobby had a beautiful fireplace and nice sitting area which was in the picture online and why I booked there over the other hotels I looked at. However, I found it hard to sleep like there was not enough airflow in the room overnight making it feel stuffy. The pillow was too firm as well. “A few items that I'd like to share for improvement - 1. when I tried the phone in the room it was unplugged, 2. there was no luggage rack in the room, 3. It would have been nice to be notified that the construction next door was taking place - the equipment they were using was next to my car and I could barely get in - very close and glad they did not damage my car. I was very happy that they were able to get me on the top floor, but my room was next to the elevator, but not too loud. The……

“Well this is the first time we were not to happy with the new owners. We choose the resort because its a half way point. We enjoy what you offer. The staff was excellent and you put them in a position to let us know no pool, no service with tv.no change for laundry, no restaurant. We were there 5 nights four days. We travel from Wisconsin to Illinois and back. Either stay closed until your properly prepared. If it wasn't for the staff I would have nothing good to say. Staff excellent!!!!”

“Overall, a very nice property. Updated amenities, comfortable space and right on the river, which was great. Two small frustrations - there were no toiletries in the house (body wash, shampoo, etc) which we have come to expect with rental properties like this. We had to go and buy our own. Second, there were quite a few flies in the house when we got there. We were able to get rid of them but it was a bit of a hassle. ”
