“When you walk up to the hotel, through a busy touristy street and then through a dark alley, you don't expect much. But when you enter... It is great! It is beutifully built and decorated in a warm yet modern style, the rooms are huge. It is a very classy boutique hotel where you would least expect it.”

“Well it is old so you will not get all the mod ins. We were there at winter and the electric blankets provided were essential. So in winter it is cold. It is however full of character and the staff very helpful with English spoken at least to a basic level. So for an authentic experience well worth it. They also helped us get a car to the mountain which was great value.”

“The receptionist barely spoke english and did not seem very keen to try and communicate with us, but with a translator app it worked out alright. The rooms are a bit shabby-looking, the carpet was very worn-down and the windows were really dirty aswell. But overall, the room was really big and the beds were comfortable (in comparison to most places in China). The hotel also provided little sanitary packs and towels.
