“We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. “BIG fan of this property -- mostly because of the people. While a bit dated, that's part of the charm and the staff was some of the friendliest I've experienced. Super helpful, super accommodating, and super friendly. A short, mostly pretty walk to "downtown" made it easy to not have to drive a lot and outside of losing power (not in their control), it was a great, relaxing stay! Can't wait to come back and try their dining options (and sadly skipped breakfast, too much to do!).”
