“Over the years we have stayed in almost every fine hotel in Newport. We have made the Castle Hill Inn our regular habit. This hotel is in a beautiful historic mansion on the ocean inlet and a is short walk to the oceanfront state park. The staff is helpful and eager to please, reminiscent of other top tier hotels. The massive oceanside lawn has many Adirondack style chairs to enjourage outdoor rest or socializing. There are indoor and outdoor bars that accomidate every taste even non-alcoholic……

“We loved the location, the layout of the loft, the kitchen and for the most part the bathrooms. At this price point, you expect perfection. The beds are adequate, but not as good as a Marriott or Hilton, one toilet ran constantly, as there must have been a small leak, we asked to have it fixed but it never was. It is a who cares complaint unless it is 2am. Finally, with the fantastic location comes plenty of street noise. Despite a few minor frustrations, I would recommend the……

“This property was clean and new, and located in a nice neighborhood. There was nobody available to check us in or out, and no way to communicate with anyone on-site throughout our entire stay. The property is listed as having free Wi-Fi, but there were no instructions given anywhere so that appears untrue. ”

“Very disappointed, told manager he should be ashamed of putting anyone in that room…Room L.!!! Upon entering our room, we were overcome with a super strong unpleasant urine odor. The entire room was a disaster, a huge hole in the ceiling covered with some plexi boards and nails, and the carpet was rippled in several places, from where it had been wet. By far, the bathroom floor urine oder was the worst!! I called the Wynstones manager and he totally played dumb. Acted like it was impossible……
