“We had a good stay at Lion in the sun. People there are super friendly and really doing their best for you to have a good stay. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and so are the chairs. The resort is beautiful with flowers, trees and well maintained swimming pools. On the downside the biggest issue was the internet being unstable and slow and at some times it would disappear completely. Even though you are at a resort and want to relax, internet is essential. “Lamu House is a lovely historic hotel right on the harbor front - top floor bedrooms facing the water are the best with cooling breezes. The staff could not be friendlier and the restaurant is tasty and popular. If you want an authentic experience of Lamu the town, this is the place . It is not a luxury resort type establishment like the ones out of town. ”

“The hotel was lovely especially as it was right on the beach. The room was a good size with a very large four poster bed. and the food (and presentation of it) was excellent with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend.”
