“Villas do Indico was everything I hoped: quiet, relaxed, good food, in a beautiful location. However, you should note that the hotel is 8km from town. I was happy to run/walk along deserted beaches most days to get to town/kite surfing. I then took a ride back. If you are taking rides both ways -- which are charged at around US$20 -- you will run up a substantial transport bill. You have to travel in a 4*4 as the last 3km are unpaved/sand. You can do this cheaper on the back of a motorbike but……

“Wonderful, restored art deco hotel with standard amenities and wonderful staff. Special thanks to Paolo for all his help in arranging transport to Tofo given the political protests. FYI, the hotel is some distance from the main town and ATMs - perhaps 30 minute walk. But the main boat tour operators to Bazaruto will pick you up on the beach in front of the hotel.”

“the service was seriously great. very helpful and friendly! it was just their wifi and dstv services was not as advertised. the last 4 days we had no dstv, in the rooms only, which was unacceptable. they "cleaned" the room everyday until we complained then it got cleaned properly. also, you could not order anything you wanted from the hotel's food menu - they kept saying "we dont have that".”
